The Oscar is a real statement piece.  Chunky, robust and distinctive, every table is full of character and individual.  It is made from air-dried oak  which will continue to move and crack for up to five years as it dries out.  We've designed the table with this in mind, with joints that will move as the timber moves.

Due to the weight of this table, we need to speak to you about delivery so you are not able to order this piece on-line. Please call us on 01488 608020.

Natural beauty....

We leave the Oscar untreated for a totally natural look.  It is easily kept clean with regular scrubbing making it extremely family friendly but it can be oiled if you would prefer.

Slow drying...

Rather than using kiln-dried timber for our Oscars. we use air-dried oak which will continue to move and crack for up to five years as it dries out.  We've designed the table with this in mind, with joints that will move as the timber moves.

Care guides

Care instructions for Raw Finishes

It is intended that the table top is treated as a scrubbed surface.  To clean the top on a daily basis simply wipe with a damp cloth. To remove more stubborn stains we recommend that you use a green scouring pad and white Cif cream cleaner. Use a little hot water and simply scrub the whole top as necessary, working with the grain. The first few times that this is done, the water will raise the grain and leave a slightly rough feel to the timber. This will only persist for the first few scrubbings.

Damp, untreated, steel items will react with the timber and can leave a dark stain. This stain can be removed with a mild solution of Oxalic Acid, available from most chemists.  Any scratches or surface damage can be easily removed by sanding the surface.  Dents may be steamed out using an iron applied on top of a damp cloth.
