CONSIDERATION: Sustainability is at the heart of Benchmark. The company is FSC and PEFC certified and uses timbers from sustainable sources only. Manufacturing processes are geared to reduce, reuse and recycle materials. Material miles are kept to the minimum and sourced locally where possible. In 2007 Benchmark was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category, the first furniture maker to win this prestigious award

The workshops are housed in converted redundant farm buildings and the company employs and trains local workers providing a livelihood on their doorstep.

INSPIRATION: On site is a full 3D CAD service design studio with an experienced team of designers with an extensive knowledge and experience of a variety of materials and techniques. The team work to client budgets from £500 to £1 million and within tight deadlines.

PRECISION: Ongoing investment in the latest CNC woodworking and metalworking machinery and tooling has made Benchmark one of Britain’s most technologically advanced manufacturers with a reputation for attention to detail, accuracy and finish.

DEDICATION: The team have been with Benchmark for many years and there is ongoing training. Benchmark has an award winning apprentice training programme to train young craftsmen and a mentoring system for qualified apprentices. There is a culture of initiative and a “Can do” attitude

SATISFACTION: The company delivers and installs its furniture and joinery to ensure high standards are maintained on site. Ongoing client support is provided with maintenance and back up service. Records are kept of all projects for future reference.
