The Lives and Loves of Hardwood Chairs.. now underway
Last week we mentioned the group of students from the Royal College of Art who would be descending on Benchmark for a week of chair making in our workshops. They are now well underway with their projects which are part of the “Out of the Woods: The Lives and Loves of Hardwood Chairs” collaboration between the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and the RCA to merge design with sustainability. After a long day, camp was pitched and then time for a bit of R&R including an impromptu birthday celebration and some impressive bouncing.. we wonder if there will be quite so much energy by the end of the week!
