Benchmark make furniture for the new Design Council Offices
The workshop at Benchmark continues to be extremely busy. This week’s deliveries include bespoke furniture we’ve made for the new offices of The Design Council at the Angel Building. We’ve worked on the designs with architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris who designed the Angel Building and initially commissioned us to make several pieces for the impressive entrance hall.
With the job only confirmed a month ago, we’ve really pulled out the stops to deliver to the tight lead-times. Working with the main contractors Overbury, we’ve made a reception desk, kitchenettes, coat cupboards, credenzas and storage walls in a combination of different materials and finishes which include corian, high gloss black lacquer, birch ply and white laminate. For the meeting rooms, we’ve also supplied the Victoria Table, designed by Terence Conran, from Benchmark’s own designer furniture range.
Benchmark have made bespoke furniture for many other office projects as well as hotels, restaurants, bars, public buildings and private residences, a selection of which can be viewed here.
