Working closely with the owner, we designed a simple yet beautiful interior for this bakery and cafe in the centre of Cambridge.

House of St Barnabus Club
We were delighted to supply furniture and bars for this not-for-profit members' club for social pioneers, which provides a stepping stone from homelessness to sustained employment by providing work experience.

Boundary Restaurant, London
Benchmark were commissioned to design and make all the furniture for the restaurant, bar & cafe  situated beneath the Boundary Hotel in Shoreditch, East London.  Pieces include tables & chairs, cheese trolley, wine wall, crustacean stands and even a flying carpet!

The London Library
Working with architects, Haworth Tompkins, Benchmark made around one hundred pieces of individual furniture, all with contemporary lines and designed for modern day use whilst harmonising with the historical setting and existing furniture and architectural features.

National Trust Headquarters, Swindon
We created a relaxed, informal feel for the public areas and offices at the National Trust HQ, using characterful oak from the Trust's own woodland to convey the importance of their forest activities.

Ace Hotel, Shoreditch, London
Ace Hotel commissioned Benchmark Furniture to create over 50 pieces of bespoke furniture including a large communal table for the lobby, bespoke lighting, meeting tables and waiter stations and banquette seating for the restaurant .

Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
Benchmark made many pieces throughout the museum including the dining room, Education Centre, galleries, boardroom and offices.  This project not only showcases the craftsmanship of our woodworking but also our specialist metalworking skills.

For this striking reception desk, we chose to use LEDS in sand slumped glass to create this effect of bubbles playing in water.

The undulating curves of this bar in the Bond & Brook Restaurant in Fenwicks, were modelled on CAD and then built up from multiple layers of ply using our 5-axis CNC machine.

Benchmark developed  the furniture for all the guestrooms, bathrooms and suites.  We applied our extensive knowledge of different materials, finishes and detailing on common pieces to create different looks for every room whilst delivering economies of scale for the client.

Working with Softroom Architects, we created a spectacular space for the Great Court Restaurant, making seating, tables and bars.

Sumptuous and luxurious materials characterise the furniture we made for the multi award winning restaurants in Bruton Street and Broadgate.

Benchmark worked closely with Terence Conran and Conran & Partners on this large commission for  Lutyens, the Fleet Street restaurant, bar and members club which included two magnificent bars, receptions desks, and furniture for the dining room and meeting rooms.

Working with David Collins Studio, our pewter work brought a feeling of grandeur and elegance to the bar area.

We thoroghly enjoyed working on this eccentric interior inspired by the travels of Mr Phileas Fogg, making loose and fitted furniture and a striking copper bar.

The Quince Tree, Henley
Built around a traditional English pub, we furnished the bar, restaurant, cafe and farm shop using different materials and finishes to give each space its own distinctive character.

Working with Guy Hollaway Architects and interior designer, Liz Jeanes, we made many of the interior fittings for this seafood restaurant, the first building to be realised of Sir Terry Farrell’s masterplan for Folkestone Harbour.
